Information for a useful first inquiry
These answers cover agency, organizational and private group planning questions.
Request a QuoteWhat information is needed for a quotation?
Send the travel date, estimated passenger count, selected bus type and seat capacity, pickup location, waypoints, final destination, departure and finish times, luggage details and charter type.
How should I choose a bus type?
Compare the published seat capacities and seating charts on the Fleet page, then select the bus category you prefer. Passenger numbers may change, but they must remain within the confirmed vehicle capacity. A consultation option is available if you cannot decide.
Do you work with overseas travel agencies?
Yes. The English service supports overseas travel agencies, tour operators and DMCs, including itinerary-led group programs.
Can private groups or smaller groups request a quotation?
Yes. Companies, schools, associations, families, friends and other private groups may request a quotation, including smaller parties. Select a published bus seat capacity or choose the consultation option if you are unsure.
Can you arrange multi-day transportation?
Multi-day requirements can be reviewed. Send the number of nights and the daily sequence of pickup points, stops, destinations and times.
Can you arrange airport transfers?
Narita and Haneda group transfers can be requested. Include the airport, flight or terminal information when known, group size, luggage and destination.
How is charter-bus pricing calculated?
Pricing depends on operating factors including time and distance, plus vehicle type, route, parking requirements and other conditions. Final pricing is itinerary-based.
How do I share my itinerary?
Enter or paste your itinerary details into the quotation form, including pickup, stops, destination and operating times. File attachments are not accepted. Do not include unnecessary passport or sensitive personal information.
What is the cancellation policy?
Two schedules apply. In regular periods, charges are 20% at 14–8 days, 30% at 7–2 days, 50% one day before and 100% on the operation date. In peak periods, charges are 20% from one month to 15 days before, 30% at 14–8 days, 50% at 7–2 days, 80% one day before and 100% on the operation date. See Booking & Payment for peak dates and written-notice requirements.
Which payment methods are available?
Payment is due no later than 14 days before operation. Available methods are overseas bank transfer, online credit-card payment and WISE. Follow the instructions provided with the quotation or booking documents.
How do I reach MAKOTO in an emergency?
Approved public wording for emergency contact procedures is still required. Confirm the applicable contact method in the booking documents before travel.
Can you arrange late-night or early-morning departures?
Share the exact requested times. Operational availability, conditions and any applicable costs must be reviewed for the actual itinerary.
What if the group has a large amount of luggage?
Provide the number and approximate size of large suitcases, carry-on bags and other equipment. Vehicle suitability cannot be determined from passenger count alone.
Can you provide an English insurance certificate?
English insurance certificates are available. State the documentation requirement in the inquiry so MAKOTO can confirm the current request process.
